What is
logistics?
For me
logistics is the set of means and methods that allow carry out the organization
of a business or service. Business logistics involves a certain order in the
processes involving the production and marketing of goods.
Main Objectives and importance
The
fundamental mission of the business logistics is to place the right products in
the right place at the right time and in the desired conditions, contributing
as much as possible to profitability.
The
Logistics has as objective the satisfaction of demand in the best conditions of
service, cost and quality. It is responsible for the management of the
necessary means to achieve this goal (surfaces, means of transport, information
technology) and mobilizes both the human resources as well as the financial
resources that are appropriate.
Ensuring
quality of service, that is to say the conformity with customer
requirements. To do so at a lower cost which improves the financial margin of
the company. Get it to ensuring security, also communicate on current themes
such as respect for the ambient, ethical products, etc. These three parameters
are used to explain the strategic character of the logistics function in many
companies.
ACTIVITIES
The key activities are as follow:
- Service to the costumer
